CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Solutions Manager who will be responsible for managing the development of new products and services and continuously improving existing ones.

As part of our IT department, you will work closely with the development team, vendor partners, Project Managers,

and other technical teams to ensure the products and services are developed and launched according to business users' requirements and expectations while ensuring the desirability and viability of solutions over their lifecycle - from ideation to design and development, through to testing and implementation, as well as ongoing enhancements and support.

What You'll Be Doing

Developing a product and service strategy and building a roadmap; formulating a business case to secure funds,

leading the definition of high-level product and service business requirements, working with the business and technical teams to develop and execute the RFP process to source vendors.

Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendor partners, Program Managers and Project Managers to ensure effective

cross-functional execution of projects including facilitating detailed requirements gathering, supporting design and/or engineering and planning, leading UAT test case development and testing.

Managing enhancement requests for the assigned product portfolio, allocating resources, and providing support.

Developing and nurturing relationships with senior leadership across the organization, anticipating and understanding their needs as well as providing updates and feedback on current solutions,

services and projects.

Building and maintaining vendor relationships which includes keeping informed of any changes to a vendor's services or products and managing their performance to ensure quality deliverables,

timely execution, and on-budget delivery.

Mentoring and supporting the growth of junior team members, by providing guidance and direction to elevate the performance of the team so that we can meet or exceed our goals and objectives.

Who You Are

A post-secondary graduate in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline along with agile and scrum certification. Lean or Six Sigma Certification is considered an asset.

An IIBA certified professional with a minimum of 10 years progressive experience in business analysis and/or product management positions, with a focus on information technology projects.

Experienced in the management of vendor performance and capable of managing these partnerships while developing new relationships with ease.

An expert in the field of business analysis, process management, quality assurance, project delivery practices, and of standards across the project lifecycle; ITIL certification is considered an asset.

A decisive leader with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, able to mentor and coach others on the team.

A strategic and analytical thinker with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deal with ambiguity.

Knowledgeable in product development processes, with an in-depth knowledge of the SDLC and Agile methodology, and the use of related tools, including Jira, Visio and Confluence.

An outstanding communicator – both written and verbal - with influencing skills required to drive dialogue with business partners while understanding their underlying needs and requirements and managing their expectations.
